"I chalk my hands with Icarus ash,
the vault and rings of heaven
before me" – qbit

                             "I saw you dip seagulls
                                            in blackest ink
                                          for crow words"
                                                 – qbit's wife

I am spray can,
graffiti hearted
	                           shake shake shake
	                                          you awake,
that metal ball in your chest
rattles and rolls, rocks and tolls,
	                                      mixes me up
I paint the dog
fierce tiger stripes,
line the lion
with the lamb
	             your fizzy-fuzzy thoughts,
	                                 your vaporized
	                                           fog of war
                                        	    on words
mixybest
trixytest
krylon onomotopaint
liquitex rust-oleum,
rust's proof of the rainbow
                                                       please,
                                   godsend of snow,
	                                  a sleet primer

  1. Those two quotes at the top! Get the eff out of town! Whoa, how I love those. As for the main body of the poem, I see Johnny Bench vacantly huffing his Krylon spray pain and wondering what the number was of that truck that hit him. A little Pollack, a little Goldfinger, a little talk to the animals and presto! Every time a crow flaps its wings teacher gets a new Rorschach card. Attention, class! This blew me into the next room, Qbit.

If I ever overcome my laziness and get a book out, can I have that as a blurb?

  2. Love love love this Qbit, and your wife’s quote is absolutely awesome! That “fog of war on words” is a line that will stick with me among so many others. You have a gift with putting the words together like the lion and the lamb my friend!! True poetic brilliance!

    1. Gah, I know!!! I posted a comment with a few lines in it just now, but all the doors I’ve tried to open have cinder blocks on the other side. Not giving up yet, but might take a few days.
