Wow! Throughout the years, the colored maps have been fading. Mother earth understand this clearly. Hence the heart of her colors fade within time of holding on to hope. This was my interpretation so I hope I understood this poem. I love it. 🙂
“If there was a song that could change the world,
I’m sure it would be very simple, and wouldn’t need lots of bells and whistles.
It would be a straightforward song of love to one person.
Every day, the world is reborn from someone’s small feeling,
Everyday, everytime, I want to keep singing, I can’t stop these overflowing feelings.
everyday every time everyday every time
An exhausted person said that just living was tough enough,
Someone fighting illness said that he wanted to just keep on living,
Even if it couldn’t happen, he wanted the courage to stand and face life.
The world is reborn every day with our small feelings,
Everyday, everytime, I want to keep singing, I can’t stop these overflowing feelings.
I’m here, singing on, love is definitely alive.
everyday every time everyday.” -Kokia “Chiisana Uta”
I don’t know if you read Madcap Malady. So few did. Perhaps you did. I’m posting another soon. You don’t have to read it. I’ll probably post it in dVerse. You know that place….
Kooser!

I’d never heard of him. A poet you’ve read?

He was a former U.S. poet laureate.

Nah. They tend to change too often to keep up. Flying at Night and After Years are worth a read.

Keep loving, keep feeling, keep singing, that’s enough, that’s enough.

Is love the same to everyone? There are times when I think that can’t possibly be true,
But I still want to keep singing, to connect all our feelings.
If there was a song that could change the world,
I’m sure it would be very simple, like the strong light of someone’s life.
Keep loving, keep feeling, keep singing, keep living.

Don’t know that one. The last one I followed was Will Rogers… they called him the Poet Lariat. 🙂

Call me when they get around to Terrence Hayes. I’d be for that.
